Aglianico is one of southern Italy's most serious red grapes, the backbone of Taurasi and Aglianico del Vulture. Almost nobody plants it in California. Ghostnote founder Brad Friedman is the rare exception, sourcing from Tres Pinos Creek - an organically farmed, own-rooted parcel inside the Siletto family's vineyard in San Benito County. The winemaking is low-intervention, native yeast, and aimed at clarity rather than weight.
