Space Monkey is a Pinot Blanc and Auxerrois white from Coup de Jus, the négoce label run by Géraud and Pauline Fromont of Domaine des Marnes Blanches in the Jura. The fruit comes from old vines on limestone in Alsace, fermented whole-cluster in neutral barrel and bottled with little to no added sulfur. The result is a textural, easygoing natural white with real grip. The 2024 drinks beautifully young and slightly chilled. A fun, gulpable bottle with substance behind the smiley label.
