Forget the light, fizzy Vinho Verde stereotype — Asnella is the serious one. It comes from a single high-elevation vineyard in the inland Basto sub-region, planted right on a geological fault line where granite meets schist. That split personality shows up in the glass: granite lends weight and depth, schist brings lift and cut. It's dry, still, and concentrated, aged six months on its lees for texture — closer in spirit to a taut Gruner than to a poolside gulper.
