Deutz's vintage rose only appears in years worth marking, and 2015 was a ripe, sun-filled one. Pinot Noir does most of the talking here, with a whisper of Chardonnay, aged for years in the house's chalk cellars beneath Ay. Expect a rose with real presence, layered red-berry fruit and a creamy, mineral-backed structure that can stand up to a plate of food. This is celebration Champagne that also happens to be a serious drink.
