The Napa legend behind some of California's most ageless Cabernet has a secret: she's a sucker for aromatic whites. Corazon—'heart' in Spanish—is Cathy Corison's tiny side project, and this bone-dry Riesling comes from roughly 60-year-old own-rooted vines in the limestone and granite sand of Cienega Valley, well south of Napa. A whisper of botrytis lends apricot and honeyed depth, but the wine finishes snappy and mineral, medium-bodied with the same sense of poise that made Corison famous. It's a small-lot jewel from a living legend, at a fraction of the price of her reds.
