Biancosesto is Tunella's flagship white — a 50/50 blend of Friulano and Ribolla Gialla, the two native grapes that arguably best express Friuli's Colli Orientali. The Zorzettig family has been farming these hills for three generations, and the wine is aged on fine lees in tonneau, giving it texture without dressing it up in oak. The Ribolla brings citrus tension and lift, the Friulano fills it out with weight and almondy depth. It's a quietly serious white from a region that doesn't get nearly enough attention stateside.
