Rose & Arrow was founded by the late Mark Tarlov (also behind Evening Land) alongside Louis-Michel Comte Liger-Belair of Vosne-Romanee, with terroir consultant Pedro Parra brought in to map the soils. The aim is unapologetically grand: identify Oregon's Grand Cru sites and bottle them with site-specific precision. The Hopewell Hills vineyard sits in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA on low-fractured basalt with medium-shallow soils - rocky, lean, and tense. Less than four percent of the estate's harvest goes into these single-vineyard cuvees. Expect a fine, muscular Pinot with real grip and a long, mineral finish.
