Rall Wines White 2024
Composed of 71% Chenin Blanc, 26% Verdelho, and 3% Viognier, this is the wine that started it all for Rall back in 2008. Now in its 16th vintage and marking 17 years of production, it remains the true cornerstone and main focus of everything they do. No other wine in the portfolio has achieved this level of year-on-year consistency, and the spectacular 2024 vintage is no exception
The grapes are primarily sourced from the ancient granitic soils of the Paardeberg, now enhanced by a significant portion of fruit from the oldest vineyard we work with, planted back in 1969. All components were fermented naturally and matured separately for 10 months in a combination of 2,000-liter foudres, seasoned French oak barrels, concrete eggs, and amphorae, before being blended and bottled with minimal filtration.
