Most Cava at this level is anonymous, industrial and forgettable. Naveran's Brut Vintage is none of those things: estate-grown, organically farmed, vintage-dated, and built from the classic Catalan trio of Xarel·lo for structure, Macabeo for fruit and Parellada for lift, off vines planted between 1970 and 1995 in clay and limestone. It rests at least a year on the lees, which lends a whisper of toast without dulling the crunch. The family has been farming this land in Torrelavit, in the high Penedès, since 1901. This is the house sparkler you keep cold at all times and never once regret opening.
