Moet & Chandon Champagne Collection Imperiale Creation No. 1 NV
Moet & Chandon broke a decade-long silence with Collection Imperiale Creation No. 1, the inaugural release in a new prestige tier launched in 2024 to mark the house's 280th anniversary. This is the pinnacle of what Moet calls Haute Oenologie: a multi-vintage assemblage drawing on seven exceptional years from the cellar (1999, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2012), each contributing a specific texture or tension to the blend. The grape mix runs 40% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, 20% Meunier, and the wine is finished as brut nature so the fruit and aged complexity carry through without dosage. Expect a champagne built for the occasion, with depth, layering, and a long savory finish. A new edition is planned every two years, building toward Moet's 300th anniversary in 2043.
