Marine Descombe (not to be confused with Georges Descombes) is the fourth-generation force behind her family's Brouilly-based domaine, where she now oversees every aspect of farming and winemaking. Her Beaujolais Blanc comes from the limestone-rich Pierres Dorees in the south of the region — a stretch of golden stone that's quietly become one of France's best-kept Chardonnay secrets. Twelve months on the fine lees gives the wine a creamy texture without sacrificing nerve, and the result is fresh, juicy, and effortlessly drinkable.
