Lucia Santa Lucia Highlands Estate Pinot Noir 2023
Lucia's Estate Cuvee Pinot Noir is a portrait of the Santa Lucia Highlands from the Pisoni family's own vineyards ā the kind of bottle that explains why this region became one of California's great Pinot addresses. Mark Pisoni blends fruit from Pisoni, Garys', Soberanes, and (new this vintage) WindRock ā all family-owned sites along the SLH bench ā to build a wine with both the dark-fruited intensity of the Highlands and the layered finesse of well-handled Pinot. The 2023 was a long, slow, classic vintage on the bench, and the wine shows the result: bright red raspberry and dark cherry, soft layered tannins, allspice lift, and a long, polished finish.
