Gowan Creek sits in the cool heart of Anderson Valley, two miles north of Confluence Vineyard, where coastal fog rolls in harder and the growing season stretches longer. The site is planted to eight different Pinot Noir clones, each tailored to its specific block and soil — and the resulting wine shows real depth: dark, inky color, brooding wild berry fruit, and the kind of saline-mineral lift Anderson Valley does so well. Bottled as a single-vineyard cuvee under Kosta Browne's Single Vineyard Series, this is a more focused, terroir-driven look at the AVA than the appellation blend.
