Kontozisis Karditsa Limniona By Soft Nails 2024
Kontozisis Organic Vineyards has been working organically since 1991, well before the natural wine wave reached Greece. The family farms in Karditsa, in central Thessaly, on the foothills of Mount Agrafa. Limniona is the king of Thessalian red grapes, and "By Soft Nails" is a lighter, fresher expression ā a nod to the traditional Greek kokkineli style. Fermented in concrete egg with native yeasts and a touch of sulfur at bottling, the wine pours pale and bright, with crunchy red fruit, a brush of pepper, and chalky-mineral lift. A wine to chill, share, and not overthink.
