Jerome Prevost is one of the original heroes of grower Champagne, the man who proved that Pinot Meunier, long dismissed as a mere blending grape, could make wines of profound depth and terroir. His Grand Cru bottling is the rarer, more exalted cuvee, distinct from Les Beguines and built from grand-cru Chardonnay and Pinot Noir sources rather than the Gueux Meunier parcel. Wine-driven, savory and utterly singular, it shows Prevost's hand in a different register. If you've never had Prevost, prepare to rethink what grower Champagne can be.
