Jean-Marc Roulot's Corton-Charlemagne is a more recent addition to the lineup, made under his negociant label from purchased fruit including Hautes Mourottes, Languettes, and Le Corton — and it brings the same precision and clarity that defines everything from the great Meursault domaine. 2020 was a warm, sunny vintage that produced Cortons of unusual muscle, and Roulot's version is no exception: mineral width, gentle spice, a saline savor and that almost burly density that marks the very best Corton-Charlemagnes. Production is tiny. Roulot at full stretch on Grand Cru terroir.
