Granville Eola Amity Hills Pinot Noir Koosah Vineyard 2024
Same mountain, different grape. Koosah climbs to 1,100 feet, which in the Eola-Amity Hills means cold Pacific wind blowing straight through the canopy all summer long -- small berries, high acidity, and fruit with nowhere to hide. Granville draws Pinot Noir from Blocks 1, 9 and 13, the parcels that deliver structure, perfume and mineral depth rather than weight. Planted in 2016 and farmed biodynamically and regeneratively from day one, the site is handled in the cellar with a light touch: native yeast in stainless steel with a share of whole clusters, aging in mostly neutral French oak, bottled unfined and unfiltered. The result leans cool, savory and taut rather than plush -- closer in spirit to Burgundy than to the Oregon crowd-pleaser template. Resonance, Louis Jadot's Oregon estate, owns the vineyard today; Granville still gets select blocks.
