The red sash running diagonally across the bottle is the Grand Cordon of the Legion d'honneur, and Mumm has been wearing it since 1876 - a house that has never been shy about the grand gesture. The Rose is built for the same energy. It's a Pinot Noir-led blend rounded out with Chardonnay and Meunier, with a healthy portion of still red wine blended in to give it both its color and its fruit punch. It rests at least two years on the lees before disgorgement, which buys it more depth than its party-bottle reputation would suggest. Pale salmon, berry-soaked, and unapologetically fun.
