Cecelia (Cara's middle name) is the Mockrishes' rose from Renaissance Vineyard in the Sierra Foothills, a co-vinification of Syrah pressed onto the skins and stems of foot-stomped Sauvignon Blanc. After a few days of skin contact the whole lot is pressed again, fermented in tank and aged eight months in neutral French puncheons. It drinks with the seriousness of a still wine and the joy of a great rose: wildflowers, red berries and a thread of citrus acidity that pulls everything taut.
