Marsannay is the northernmost village of the Côte de Nuits, and Longeroies is one of its most-celebrated lieux-dits — a slope of red clay over limestone that consistently produces some of the appellation's most structured, age-worthy reds. Frédéric Magnien, son of Morey-Saint-Denis legend Michel Magnien, runs his négociant operation with a grower's sensibility: organic-leaning farming partnerships, careful sorting, restrained élevage. The result is real Côte de Nuits Pinot from a village that's still flying below the radar — perfumed, finely structured, and built to reward a few years in the cellar.
