Field Recordings' Regenerator is Andrew Jones' standard-bearer for organically grown, regeneratively-minded Paso Robles Zinfandel — a wine that walks the talk on farming without ever feeling like a lecture. Fruit comes from certified organic Central Coast sites, fermented with skins for a couple of weeks and aged about ten months in American oak (a quarter of it new). The result is classic California Zin played in the spicy register: dark berries up front, black licorice and pepper on the edges, soft enough acidity to keep things easygoing. It's the everyday house Zin you don't have to overthink.
