Rosy is a Blaufränkisch rosé (with a splash of Zweigelt) from the Wellanschitz family in Mittelburgenland, made by Stefan Wellanschitz — the same hand behind the more experimental Kolfok wines. Whole clusters, about a day of skin contact for color, native yeasts, minimal sulfur, organic farming. What comes out is crunchy and mineral rather than soft and sweet, with the tart red-berry snap that Blaufränkisch does better than almost anything. Buy it by the liter, drink it by the pitcher.
