Dr. Loosen owns old ungrafted vines here, some over a century old, farmed without irrigation and fermented with native yeast. At Kabinett ripeness, the wine is lightly sweet but so charged with slate-driven acidity that it tastes almost dry ā delicate, filigreed and built to age for decades. This is a grand-cru-quality site in all but name, and one of the benchmark expressions of Mosel Riesling.
