Domaine Eden Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Domaine Eden is the sister project to legendary Mount Eden Vineyards, high in the Santa Cruz Mountains above Silicon Valley. Mount Eden bought the former Cinnabar estate in 2007, replanted, and now uses it to make a more approachable, fruit-forward line in the Mount Eden mold. The 2021 Cabernet is a Bordeaux blend: Cab with Merlot, Cab Franc, Petit Verdot and a splash of Malbec. Mountain-grown, dry-farmed, and made the same low-intervention way as the estate wines. Expect classic California Cab fruit framed by Santa Cruz Mountains structure and that signature forest-floor savoriness. One of the best values in the state.
