Les Traves is the estate's namesake Rasteau, a step up from the everyday Zouzou bottlings, from Domaine des Coteaux des Travers. The Charavin family farms these sunrise-facing southern Rhone slopes biodynamically (certified Biodyvin), and Rasteau, a Cru of the southern Rhone, brings more depth, warmth, and structure than a basic Cotes du Rhone. Grenache leads this rich, sun-soaked red. Enjoyable now with a decant, and it will hold for several years.
