Condado de Haza is where the Pesquera dynasty stretches its legs. Alejandro Fernandez — the man widely credited with dragging Ribera del Duero into the modern era — bought this estate near Roa in 1987 as the family's dedicated second home for Tempranillo. It's all estate-grown fruit off some 200 hectares surrounding a chateau-style winery, made as a more structured, terroir-driven expression than the famous Pesquera. This Crianza spends around 15 months in oak and is bottled unfined and unfiltered — a benchmark Spanish red for a table full of roasted meat.
