Les Deux Freres is a tribute cuvee, named for the grandfather and grand-uncle who first planted vines at this Vacqueyras estate. Chateau de Montmirail sits between Vacqueyras and Gigondas under the Dentelles de Montmirail, founded in 1960 by Maurice Archimbaud and run today by his grandchildren Philippe and Sylvie. The blend is roughly 75% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 5% Mourvedre off these sun-baked southern Rhone slopes. It's a generous, warm-hearted Vacqueyras built for the dinner table. Decant an hour and pour it with something off the grill.
